The Institute of Statistics, Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) attaches highest importance to the security of your data. Purpose of processing
In order to organize seminars, your data will be processed at the Institute of Statistics.
Legal basis for data processing
The legal basis for processing required disclosures which are requested in the registration form is Article 6 (1) (e) GDPR in combination with § 17 “Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz" (NHG).
Obligation of provision
You are not obliged to provide your data but they are needed for participation. It is only possible to take part in the seminar if you submit required disclosures.
Storage period
We process your data as long as needed for organizing and finishing the seminar or due to legal requirements such as the obligation to store exam papers. If you would like us to delete your data, we will do this immediately, as long as this is not in conflict with other legal obligations.

Recipients of personal data
- Employees of the Institute of Statistics which organize the seminar.
- The Office of the Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Economics and Management for documentation and crediting.

Right of objection
You may object against processing your data at any time. We won’t process your data any longer, except there are compelling legitimate reasons for processing or processing serves assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims.

If you consider that processing of your data violates legal provisions, you may appeal to the regulating authority.
